At the beginning of the pandemic, I was selected to participate in a 6 month residency at The Cotton Factory, which was organized by the Hamilton Arts Council. Due to constant lockdowns, the residency was delayed until December 2020 and extended until September 2021. I was provided with a spacious room to experiment with large paintings and continue my CONTACT series. I had the pleasure of being interviewed by CHCH and Cable 14 in this space to discuss the new direction my work was going in. The space gave me motivation and creativity while being surrounded by such creative energy in a bustling hub of artists. This experience has made a large impact on my artistic career, as well as my vision for where I want my work to go. Visit this LINK to watch an artist talk on my process and work completed.
